婚礼衣装: 色打掛 Wedding Kimono: Iro-Uchikake

色打掛  Iro-Uchikake      

白無垢以外の打掛が「 色打掛 （いろうちかけ）」です。  武家社会では、「嫁ぎ先の色に染まる」という意味もある白無垢で嫁ぎ、その後、嫁ぎ先が準備した色味のある小袖に着替えることによって、「婚家の人になった」とされていました。この武家の風習のなごりが現在のお色直しの習慣です。 さまざまな色を楽しむことができる色打掛。

Except Shiromuku, another formal wedding dress is Iro-Uchikake. Shiromuku is "ready to be dyed with colour of groom", then for Iro-Uchikake means "coloured by husband after married". Normally, during the ceremony, brides will dress the Shiromuku. In the reception party (after the ceremony), brides will change the Shiromuku-Uchikake into Iro-Uchikake.  Brides can enjoy the wide variety of colour for Iro-Uchikake.

The Renter is the sole person responsible for any damage caused to the kimono during
the Rental Period. Upon return, the kimono is inspected for any damages and/or food
and beverage stains. If such are found, the Renter will be responsible for cleaning costs 
and other damages.
